TITANIC SPRITZ

In 1912, a tragedy occurred in the ocean. Departing from Southampton, England, towards New York, what was at the time the largest ship in the world sank. What few people know is that, along with it, a huge lot of the finest champagne of the time went to the bottom of the sea: the Henri Abelé brand, selected by the most prestigious chef of the time, Auguste Escoffier. In May 2024, a rescued bottle of this sparkling wine was auctioned for 1.4 million dollars. It is speculated that if more were found today, each bottle could be worth up to two million dollars.
Ingredients: Bubbles, St. Germain, Bianco Vermouth, Licor 43, topped with soda, garnished with strawberries and lemon.
ESSEX SPRITZ

Essex was a great whaling ship commanded by Captain George Pollard Jr. It set sail in the fall of 1820 from the port of Nantucket, Massachusetts, towards the South Pacific, but tragedy struck when they were rammed by a giant sperm whale, causing the ship to sink and leaving only two survivors to tell the tale. This story would later become the inspiration for Herman Melville to write the famous book Moby Dick.
Ingredients: Guava spritz with prosecco, guava Smirnoff, tonic, and a dash of lime.
MEZCALITA CHINAMPA

In the Valley of Mexico, chili peppers were grown on chinampas, which were a type of raft mainly made of wood and covered with soil. These rafts were used to cultivate chili peppers, flowers, vegetables, and fruits, as well as to expand the territory on the surface of the lakes and lagoons of the Valley of Mexico, making Mexico-Tenochtitlan a floating city.

Ingredients: Honey margarita with roasted pineapple pulp, tequila, triple sec, and sour mix. .
TIRBUTO GARÍFUNA

The Garifuna are an Afro-Indigenous ethnic group with origins in the Caribbean, specifically on the island of Saint Vincent. In 1797, after years of resistance against British colonizers, the Garifuna were deported to the island of Roatán. Some were thrown overboard from the ships, and few survived, as legends of a giant octopus lurking in the ocean were widespread.
Ingredients (inspired by Garifuna cuisine): Spiced rum, banana liqueur, organic coconut liqueur, plantain purée, spiced coconut milk, and a touch of citrus blend.
CARAJILLO DE LA PUNTA DE TENEFÉ

At the beginning of World War II, a gigantic British steamship called the S.S. Pembrokeshire, which was vital to the war effort, was carrying an important cargo of coffee, cocoa, and tobacco for the king. However, an unprecedented fog caused them to lose their way, and they became stranded at Punta del Tenefé in the Canary Islands... The cargo was lost, and the ship returned to the war, only to be later sunk by a German submarine.
Ingredients: Espresso carajillo, cacao water, coffee liqueur, and a touch of Xtabentún liqueur, served in a white wine glass with smoke from tobacco shavings aged in vanilla syrup and dehydrated.
